A quick update…..I visited my favorite osprey friends today for about three hours….and only saw the male. He went and got a fish and waited a long time for the chick. He finally started nibbling and stopping to look all around…and he finally finished the small fish and there was no sign of the chick. As he ate he was making these very quiet peeping sounds that they often make when feeding chicks…
Not sure what that means. He was thinking about her? He dragged out the eating of the fish….clearly so he would have something for her if she returned.
I am concerned…..but I will go back on Wednesday.
